About Us

An Uncle is born……

Almost 12 years ago, Uncle Jim was looking for a way to use his extra Hungarian Wax Peppers from his over producing garden. Uncle Jim also loved to eat. A lot of rural folk make something called mustard relish and Uncle Jim stumbled across Pepper Mustard — a magical, natural, fat free combination of peppers, mustard, and spices that made Uncle Jim’s mouth water. When Uncle Jim needed Pepper Mustard for his burgers, brats and dogs, it better be on the shelf! So Uncle Jim began making Pepper Mustard alongside his lovely wife Karen, in their crowded Ohio kitchen. Soon Uncle Jim began sharing with his friends, who plowed through every jar of sweet and tangy goodness with greedy abandon. After years of constant nagging, he was persuaded by his friends and family to make his Golden Goodness available to the masses commercially. In November 2009, Uncle Jim’s Original Pepper Mustard was born and the product was launched to rave reviews and intense demand. In July of 2010, Uncle Jim’s Habanero Pepper Mustard, our second product, was debuted to a crowd clamoring to give the Original a BIG KICK! In October, 2011, in anticipation of their second anniversary, Uncle Jim’s Foods launched the latest product in the Uncle Jim’s line, Wasabi!! Uncle Jim would like to thank everyone involved with bringing his delicious Pepper Mustards to the masses! Life is too short, Open the Jar!

What exactly IS Uncle Jim’s Pepper Mustard?

Well, it’s not JUST a condiment. It’s somewhere between a dip and a spread, with extreme sauce capability as well. It’s sweet and tangy with a kick. It’s thick, too. You don’t pour Uncle Jim’s…you SPREAD it! It’s HOT, but not TOO hot…it has FLAVOR…it won’t destroy your taste buds, but it may addict them. So look – take your favorite cheese, cracker, pretzel, bratwurst, hot dog, hamburger or other “dip-able” food and either DIP IT or LATHER on some Uncle Jim’s Pepper Mustard. The ORIGINAL version features Hungarian Wax Peppers and for those who want a bit more heat (without sacrificing the flavor) try the Habanero version. Want something a little different, the Wasabi is your choice! They are all FRICKIN’ AWESOME! It’s VERSATILE too! Add a tablespoon or two to your favorite recipe, marinade, or rub to really kick up the flavor. Check out our RECIPES tab on Facebook or our website for ideas.
